Is Diovan a good high blood pressure medication?

I know of a person who was taking Diovan and the doctor kept increasing the dose until he had her at the maximum dose. Still her blood pressure was high. So the doctor added doxazosin and her blood pressure came down. My friend said the Diovan made her feel weak so she quit taking it and the doxazosin seems to be keeping the blood pressure down by itself. Does Diovan do anything?
You have to love people who answer when they have no idea what they’re talking about…
It is a good med. Not all meds for high BP work well for every patient. Never stop taking a BP med without consulting your doctor.
