what is the best natural remedy to take for slightly high blood pressure?
I will agree with the others that have mentioned you need to have your BP monitored if it is above 140/90. If it is consistently and dangerously high, then you will need to seriously consider taking anti-hypertensives.
However, some "natural remedies" to high blood pressure are light exercise, healthy weight loss (if over weight), reduced sodium intake, eliminating caffeine, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption, and balanced diet.

You can consult with an Acupuncturist/Herbalist, a Certified Nutritionist, or a Naturopathic Practitioner about treatments, diets, and natural herbal supplements that can help lower high blood pressure.
It is important, so I say this again, you absolutely need to have your BP monitored. Let your doctor know that you want to pursue other alternatives for maintaining your BP.

Forget it. See a doctor and get some pills. They are very cheap and work like a champ. You don’t have to change your lifestyle at all. I have been taking them for 13 years with zero problems. With insurance I pay $8/month.
Not sure I know what "slightly" means. It is either high or not. Mine was 170/110 when I started. Been 125/80 last 13 years.

Make some changes to your lifestyle is the bestway!
Watch the diet add more fresh fruits & veggies& WHOLE grains
& be sure to -move- even if you are just walking each day-
These things are what make a difference– you want to cure the problem not put a band-aid on it..

You need to see your primary care physician and get on a prescribed antihypertensive drug. It is important that you go this route so he can monitor your blood pressure and the effectiveness of the medication. If your blood pressure is 140/90 or above it is too high. In fact, new guidelines would but it lower than this. If your doctor minimizes a blood pressure that is at this level, seek a new physician. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a very serious health problem. It can cause strokes, enlargement of the heart which eventually leads to congestive heart failure. It can damage your kidneys. There are many more debilitating effects untreated high blood pressure can cause. It is called "the silent killer" because too many people don’t know they have it and so don’t get treated or they do know it but are noncompliant with a medical regimen.

There are several natural supplements that are beneficial in maintaining a normal blood pressure. If I had to pick one, I would suggest all natural CoQHeart. Coenzyme Q10 supports energy production in your cells. Your body more readily accepts the softgel delivery form used in CoQHeart than it does solid powders so you can get more out of your supplement. It also contains a powerful antioxidant resveratrol – 640 mcg which is equivalent to the amount of resveratrol in one glass of red wine.
Also, remember to drink adequate water for kidney health.
Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me if interested in the website.

garlic is a natural blood thinning agent. i dont wanna search the internet for source but i read it somewhere. the article said that for people who have fresh wounds, they should not take garlic or else the wound would not heal because blood won’t clot as soon as it should be because blood thins if we take garlic. just chop it finely. get a spoonful of honey and sprinkle garlic over it and take it. or you may put a mouthfull of water on a glass, put the chopped garlic there and after 2 minutes, take it. i swear, search it on the net u’d find my source promise. i hope u would get better soon.

Potassium is a natural blood pressure regulator. Especially food derived potassium, so a banana a day can keep blood pressure away. Other things you can eliminate to help with blood pressure are: stress, salt, tobbaco, caffiene. Also limit alcohol considerably.
Anything that lowers cholestrol is also going to help BP. So add oatmeal to your diet and cut all saturated and transfats.

Cut out the SALT.
Salt is common is most canned and packaged foods. It is very high is fast food and restaurant food. The nicer and more quality the restaurant is the less salt in the food. That is because fine chefs use spices not salt to flavor the food.
Also please look up these natural capsules you can take. They really work, read the testimonials. I had bought too many jars and sold some to another woman in her 70’s. She wrote me back with amazine results. Her doctor asked her what she was doing differently since her blood preasure and cholesterol went down so far. She told him about this product.
Look it up on the internet and I believe the site is:
http://www.grapefruitsolution.com
It is grapefuit pectin in a capsule and it can work wonders. You can not eat enough of the pectin on a grapefruit to get the same effect. This product is the best I have found. Please try it.

Hi Jane, some answers are fine but they have neglected 2 vital ones:
Lecithin & Ginka Biloba Former @1tbs per day (grainules), latter tbs with >60mg conc. extract / tab.
Then you need to get your heart rate up (& keep it up) for >20min. 3 times a week.
The GB opens out the little capliieries & the L is a natural detergent – loosens the muck in veins & arteries, but you need turbulence to ensure the emulsified stuff is moved to where the body can use it or dispose of it.
